When does the holiday season start in Malia ?
May 1st, our rooms are available from 23rd April for people who want to get there
before the season starts.
When we book a months accommodation do I have to stay longer than that month, do
I need to give notice if I'm leaving ?
Youre under no obligation to stay any amount of time, all we ask is that where possible
you give us a weeks notice.
Can you help me find a job ?
Where possible we can try to help, but help finding a job is not a guaranteed part
of this service. Finding a job in Malia is all about you going round the bars clubs
restaurants and hotels and giving a good account of yourself, most of the time its
simple but if not, as long as you are persistent you will get one.
Do I need any special papers from the Greek authorities to work in Malia ?
Some business will send you to the town hall for a medical certificate, some wont.
Its very simple to get one, they cost around 80 Euros so it might be an idea to
budget for that in your savings.
How much money should I take to Malia ?
If you plan on working straight away you can take a smaller amount than if you dont.
In Malia its easy to spend loads if you arent carefull. If your good with money
you might want to consider putting aside the money for your return flight which
will be in the region of 150 (Euros). If you can afford it we would suggest taking
at least 500 (Euros) with you.
